God's Hope for Exiles

Jeremiah 29:1-14

God’s Hope for Exiles is a hard word with mercy running through it. Jeremiah 29 shows us a people carried into captivity because they would not obey, yet God still sent hope after them. Don’t miss that—He caused the exile, but He also promised the return. This study warns us plain: you can be sitting in church and still be in Babylon if your heart is divided, your confession is half-made, and your repentance is holding back a hidden penny. God ain’t fooled by tears, words, or religious talk. He sees the reserve tucked away in the heart. But hear the mercy: if you seek Him with all your heart, He will be found. Not 80 percent. Not 99 and a half. All. This lesson calls us to cleanse the house, search out the spider webs, reject deception and false prophets, and stop blaming the devil for what our own disobedience brought on. God still has an expected end for His people—but this ain’t casual. Captivity is real, repentance must be real, and the God who sent the warning is the same God able to bring you home.
