Walk Honestly

1 Thessalonians 4:1-18

Elder Dawson· Apr 4, 2027· 1 hr 7 min

Walk Honestly is a straight Word to the church: God has called His people to sanctification, not uncleanness; to holiness, not a holy-looking mess with the world hiding underneath. Paul wasn’t playing in 1 Thessalonians 4, and neither should we. You’ve got to know how to possess your vessel—in purity, honor, modesty, and obedience. This ain’t optional. Your lifestyle, your mouth, your mindset, your work, your love for the brethren—all of it testifies whether you’re walking with God or just talking church language while carrying worldly desires in your heart. This study warns us in love: mind your own business, work with your own hands, study to be quiet, don’t defraud your brother, and increase more and more in brotherly love. God didn’t call you to sit still, run your mouth, follow every worldly fashion, or live careless with your soul. He called you to walk honestly before them that are without, lacking nothing because your trust is in Him. And for the saints who endure, there is comfort—we don’t sorrow like those with no hope. The Lord is coming, and the dead in Christ are with Him. So live holy now, because homecoming is coming soon.
