JMS Podcast

Last updated September 1, 2026

This policy explains how the individual operator of JMS Podcast handles information when you use the JMS Podcast website or mobile apps. JMS Podcast is intended for people age 13 and older and is initially available in the United States.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information, such as your email address, display name, profile details, age-eligibility confirmation, and account status.
  • Content and choices you provide, such as notes, bookmarks, requests, questions, contact messages, notification preferences, and—when community features are enabled—posts, lists, reports, blocks, and other interactions.
  • App activity needed to provide features, such as listening and reading progress, history, saved items, plan progress, playback settings, and offline-download state.
  • Device and technical information needed for authentication, security, push notifications, crash diagnosis, and service reliability. This may include a device registration token, app version, operating system, timestamps, IP address, and limited diagnostic events.

How we use information

We use information to create and protect accounts; deliver Bible study, playback, reading, notes, synchronization, downloads, notifications, questions, and community features; respond to support requests; moderate abuse; maintain service reliability; and comply with legal obligations. Questions submitted to the Ask feature and relevant message material may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service to generate a response. Message request wording may also be converted into a numeric embedding by that service so the app can suggest related approved transcripts; staff review the suggestions before they are shared with you. Public questions are reviewed before publication; approved questions, replies, and linked messages or verses are visible to signed-in members. Choosing anonymous hides the questioner’s display name from other members but not from authorized moderators.

When information is shared

We share information only with service providers needed to host, authenticate, store, secure, communicate through, and maintain JMS Podcast; when you direct us to share something; or when required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or security reasons. Providers may process information only for the service they perform for us.

We do not sell personal information. JMS Podcast has no advertising, advertising analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information while your account is active and keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Contact submissions are ordinarily retained for no more than 90 days. When a verified account-deletion request is accepted, account access is disabled and the account enters a 90-day recovery period before permanent deletion. We may retain narrowly limited records longer when reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement.

Offline audio and Bible files are stored in the app's private device storage and can be removed in the app or by uninstalling it. Android backups are disabled for this app.

Your choices

You can update available profile and preference settings, turn off notifications in the app or device settings, remove downloads, and request access correction or deletion. See the account-deletion instructions.

Security and children

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security. JMS Podcast is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
