The Name Brings the Blood Pt. 2

Matthew 27:20-25, Acts 5:22-42

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 38 min

**The Name Brings the Blood Pt. 2** drives the nail where religion hates to feel it: you don’t get the blood while rejecting the name. In Matthew 27, the crowd chose Barabbas and cried for Jesus to be crucified—then in Acts 5, those same spirits fought the apostles for preaching in that very name. Don’t fool yourself, friend. When you fight baptism in Jesus’ name, when you kick against the Holy Ghost, when you choose man-made doctrine over apostolic truth, you’re not just disagreeing with a preacher—you’re fighting God. This study is a hard warning wrapped in mercy. The blood is in the name, and without the blood there is no remission, no Passover, no covering, no salvation. Peter said it plain: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” So take heed to yourself. Don’t let persuasion, tradition, self-will, or some smooth-talking priest talk you into choosing Barabbas while claiming you love Jesus. Repent, be born again, take on the name, receive the Holy Ghost, and don’t be ashamed to suffer for the name that brings the blood.
