The Name Brings The Blood Pt. 1

Acts 5:26-40

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 35 min

“The Name Brings The Blood Pt. 1” puts its finger right on the fight the apostles faced in Acts 5: it wasn’t just preaching that stirred hell up—it was preaching and teaching in the name of Jesus. The council didn’t beat them for being religious; they beat them because that Name brings the blood, and the blood brings remission, repentance, and salvation. This study warns plain: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not a substitute for the saving name of Jesus Christ. If that cuts—it’s supposed to. The Word says what it says, and Peter said we ought to obey God rather than men. This ain’t a soft message for comfortable religion. It calls out compromise, false doctrine, and the fear of persecution that makes folks hide the Name. The apostles stood as witnesses, the Holy Ghost bears witness, and even Gamaliel had enough sense to say you better be careful lest you be found fighting against God. If you’ve been dodging Jesus Name baptism, repentance, obedience, or the blood, wake up. The Name is not optional. The blood is not optional. Salvation is too serious to play church with.
