Send for Peter

Acts 10:3-48

“Send for Peter” is a hard lesson for folks who think sincerity alone will save them. Cornelius prayed, gave alms, feared God, and had a memorial before heaven—but the angel still told him to send for Peter and hear what he “ought to do.” Don’t miss that. God saw his prayers, but He still sent a preacher with the Word. This study in Acts 10 tears down lazy religion, man-made doctrine, and that dangerous lie that obedience doesn’t matter. The Word says what it says: hear the Gospel, believe on Christ, receive remission of sins, and be baptized in the name of the Lord. God didn’t call the Gentiles common, and He didn’t leave them without commandment either. The Holy Ghost fell, they spoke with tongues and magnified God, and Peter still commanded water baptism. That ought to settle some arguments if folks would stop fighting the Book. This ain’t about Peter being perfect—it’s about God choosing a witness, sending the Word, and opening salvation to every nation through Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Judge of the living and the dead. If that cuts, let it cut. Better to be wounded by truth now than condemned by error later.
