Fire in Your Lips

Fire in Your Lips is a hard warning from James 3: the tongue is not a toy—it is a fire, a world of iniquity, and if God doesn’t get hold of it, it’ll drag a soul straight toward hell fire. This study lays the axe to slander, flattery, sowing discord, vain worship, and that rotten habit of blessing God with the same mouth that curses your brother. The Word says what it says: what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart. If that cuts—it’s supposed to. This ain’t about sounding religious while your heart stays filthy. Jesus called out the Pharisees for honoring Him with their lips while teaching commandments of men, and He still ain’t impressed by dead men’s bones dressed up in church clothes. The tongue no man can tame—but the Holy Ghost can. So either submit your mouth, your heart, and your doctrine to God’s Word, or keep following blind leaders into the ditch. Wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and good fruits. Anything else is confusion, strife, and deadly poison.
