Acts 18:1-28, 19:1-41

“Disputes” ain’t about petty church arguments—it’s about what happens when the truth of God runs headfirst into tradition, false doctrine, money, pride, and dead religion. In Acts 18–19, Paul keeps preaching Christ, teaching the Word, and correcting error whether folks like it or not. Apollos was mighty, but he still had to be taught more perfectly. Those disciples believed, but they still needed Jesus Name baptism and the Holy Ghost. God didn’t stutter, and the early church didn’t leave us guessing—if we want the truth, we’ve got to go back to the pattern. This study warns us plain: don’t play with holy things. The sons of Sceva tried to use a name they didn’t have authority in, and the devil answered them. Demetrius stirred up a whole city because truth was hurting his money. That same spirit is still alive—confusion, idolatry, false apostles, sugar-coated preaching, and folks calling anything “church” that don’t look like Acts. I’m not saying this to bruise you; I’m saying it because your soul matters. Study the Word, rightly divide it, obey it, and don’t let anybody deceive you out of salvation.
