Being a Father Pt. 2

Genesis 2:22-25, 3:1-15, John 8:36-37

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 33 min

**Being a Father Pt. 2** takes us back to Genesis where God laid the foundation for family, marriage, responsibility, and headship before sin ever entered the garden. This study doesn’t flatter men—it calls them out. A father is not just a man who can beget children; a father carries responsibility before God. He leaves, cleaves, provides, leads, protects, and answers to the Lord for the house he’s been given. Adam tried hiding behind fig leaves and blaming Eve, but God still called, “Where art thou?” That call is still ringing today. This is a hard word for a loose generation. The devil’s first weapon was deception, and he still twists God’s commandments, still opens doors through half-truths, and still drags families into shame, blame, and captivity. But John 8 reminds us there is freedom if the Son makes you free. Fathers, husbands, men—stop hiding. Stop blaming. Stop playing grown while living like boys. God didn’t stutter in Eden, and He hasn’t changed His mind now. If this cuts, it’s supposed to—because your family, your obedience, and your soul are on the line.
