He called Moses back up the mountain, commanding him to be ready in the morning, with a new set of stone tablets. That command is ours too. Are you ready—in the morning? Do you heed God’s instructions, or do you sleep in when it comes to obedience? God isn’t interested in half-hearted commitment; He demands complete allegiance. His name is Jealous for a reason—He won’t share you with the idols of this world. This study isn’t about recounting history; it’s about realigning your heart. God desires your full obedience—not delayed or negotiated obedience. Your service must be unto Him alone, free from the compromise and distractions of the world. Look at your own life before passing judgment on Israel’s failures. God’s longsuffering and mercy have given you another chance, just as He did for the stiff-necked people of old. But don’t mistake His patience for indifference. Repent, obey, and come up to meet Him where He commands. Let go of your excuses and let the Spirit ignite a fire for holiness in you that reflects the covenant God has renewed. The warning is clear; the choice is yours. Tomorrow is never promised; today, answer His call.
