The Spirit of God

1 Corinthians 2:1-14

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 1 hr 1 min

**The Spirit of God** ain’t about religious talk or fancy preaching—it’s about revelation. Paul said he didn’t come with excellency of speech, but with Christ crucified and the power of God. That’s where the line is drawn. The natural man can’t receive the things of God, because he’s too busy trusting his own wisdom, staring at the waves, listening to the world, and letting the devil blind his mind. But the Holy Ghost searches the deep things of God and reveals what flesh can’t figure out. If you can see God, all things are possible. If you take your eyes off Him, you’ll sink like Peter. This study is a hard call to stop leaning on man’s wisdom, politics, fear, and your own understanding, and get the mind of Christ. God’s provision, God’s mystery, and God’s purpose are not revealed to proud hearts or lukewarm souls—they’re revealed to those who suffer affliction, wait on God, obey the truth, and stay where the Spirit can teach them. This ain’t optional. You either receive the Spirit of the Lord, or you get swallowed up by the spirit of the world. If that cuts, it’s supposed to. God is trying to make you a new creature who can stand, discern, endure testing, and keep your eyes on Jesus.
