The Real God

1 Kings 18:17-36

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 35 min

“The Real God” brings you straight to Mount Carmel, where Elijah didn’t come to entertain Israel—he came to expose their divided hearts. Ahab called truth “trouble,” but the real trouble was Israel forsaking the commandments of the Lord and following Baal. That same spirit is alive today: false prophets, another gospel, big talk with no fire, religion with no obedience, noise with no answer. God didn’t stutter through Elijah: “How long halt ye between two opinions?” If the Lord be God, follow Him. This study is a proving ground. It warns against deception, idolatry, and playing church while ignoring God’s plan. Baal can have crowds, money, tables, and prophets—but he cannot answer by fire. The real God still calls His people to repentance, sacrifice, truth, and obedience. I’m not saying this to wound you; I’m saying it because your soul is too precious to be lulled to sleep by lies. Choose who you’re going to follow—and don’t wait until the fire falls to find out you were standing on the wrong altar.
