The Meek’s Inheritance

Psalms 37:1-11

“The Meek’s Inheritance” ain’t about weak people getting leftovers—it’s about saints who learn how to stay low before God while evildoers run their mouths, work iniquity, and try to drag the flesh out of them. Psalm 37 doesn’t tell you to fret, envy, rage, or get even; it tells you to trust in the Lord, do good, commit your way, delight in Him, rest in Him, and wait patiently. God didn’t stutter: the meek shall inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace. But that inheritance belongs to the ones who let God govern their behavior in the land. This study cuts right at anger, wrath, impatience, envy, and that old hunger to handle vengeance yourself. The evildoer may be your test, but the devil is not your master. If they cross you, expose you, or provoke you, don’t let them pull the goat out of you—let God bring forth righteousness as the light. This ain’t optional holiness. This is the Gospel working in a real world full of trouble, flesh, and trials. Wait on God, do good to your enemy, and don’t sell your birthright because you got tired, hungry, or offended.
