The Lad

Revelation 9:19-21, Genesis 21:9-20

“The Lad” is a hard warning wrapped in mercy. In Genesis 21, Hagar cried, but God heard the voice of the child—the lad cast under the shrub, dying for water, until God opened her eyes to the provision that was already there. That’s the lesson: deliverance is near, but blindness will kill you if God doesn’t open your eyes. Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Isaac, and Ishmael aren’t just old names in an old book—they show the difference between promise and mixture, inheritance and rejection, the child of God and the bondwoman’s seed. This study calls you to wake up, straighten up, and get under the blood. Trouble is coming, and the preacher’s job is to warn you before it burns. Keep your hands clean, keep your mouth clean, repent of idolatry, theft, fornication, betrayal, and playing church. You must be born again—water baptism in Jesus’ name, filled with the Holy Ghost, walking humbly before God.
