The Lord's Promise

Genesis 3:22-23, 4:10-12, Deuteronomy 28:1-9

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 43 min

**The Lord’s Promise** is not some empty church slogan you shout over while still ignoring God’s order. This study walks from Eden to Cain to Deuteronomy and shows a hard truth: the blessing is tied to obedience, and in this message, the land is held up as inheritance, provision, responsibility, and judgment. Adam was sent to till the ground, Cain was cursed from the ground, and Israel was promised blessing in the city and in the field—if they would hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord. God didn’t stutter. You don’t get to despise His commandments, abandon wisdom, and then pray like heaven owes you what obedience would have opened. This is a wake-up call against miseducation, spiritual laziness, and religious confusion. Prayer has its place, fasting has its place, shouting has its place—but if you won’t observe and do what God said, you’re just making noise in the sanctuary. The Word says blessings overtake the obedient, storehouses are filled by hands set to work, and a holy people must live under God’s command, not man’s deception. If this cuts, let it cut. Better to be wounded by truth now than comforted by lies while your inheritance slips away.
