The Lord is My Shepard

Psalms 23:1, Isaiah 40:11-31

“The Lord is My Shepard” ain’t just a verse to quote at funerals and hang on walls—it’s a testimony you better be able to live. If the Lord is truly your Shepherd, then you don’t have to chase every want, bow to every desire, or sell your soul for furniture, phones, shoes, status, or any other modern graven image. But don’t twist the Word like God is some errand boy for your cravings. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness—then let Him add what He knows you need. This study lays out God’s credentials from Isaiah 40: He measures the waters, names the stars, rules the nations like dust on a scale, and nobody counsels Him, corrects Him, or drags Him into court. So who are you comparing Him to? What are you trusting instead of Him? If that cuts, it’s supposed to. The same God who feeds His flock, carries the lambs, and renews strength like eagles’ wings is the God you must obey, trust, and wait on. Don’t run ahead and call it faith. Don’t worship idols and call it survival. Wait on the Lord—and He’ll keep you when your own strength is gone.
