Requirement of Israel

Deuteronomy 10:12-22, 11:1-4

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 45 min

“Requirement of Israel” lays the matter bare: fear the Lord, walk in His ways, love Him, serve Him with all your heart and soul, and keep His commandments. God didn’t ask for lip service, and He still doesn’t. If you call Him Lord but won’t do what He says, the Word has already exposed you. This study presses hard on stiffnecked religion, half-hearted obedience, and that antichrist spirit that wants the name of Christ without the rule of Christ. The God of gods and Lord of lords owns it all, delivered Israel with a mighty hand, and still calls His people to circumcise the heart, cleave to Him, love the stranger, care for the fatherless and widows, and do good—especially to the household of faith. This ain’t optional Christianity. This is the life of a people who have heard the voice of God and been changed by it. If that cuts, let it cut. Better to be corrected now than condemned later.
