Recycling

Genesis 50:15-22

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 1 hr 1 min

“Recycling” is a hard lesson for saints who’ve been hurt, hated, lied on, and done wrong. Joseph had every natural reason to strike back, but when his brothers came trembling, he didn’t reach for vengeance—he put God on display. “Am I in the place of God?” That’s the question that will judge a whole lot of bitter hearts. What they meant for evil, God turned for good, and Joseph had enough grace to see it, enough humility to bow under it, and enough love to nourish the very ones who wounded him. This study calls you to stop letting malice, persecution, and fiery trials poison your spirit. Recycle it. Turn evil into good. Speak kind words when your flesh wants to cut. Go the second mile when you were forced through the first. Overcome evil with good, not because it’s easy, but because that’s how born-again people walk. God didn’t save you so you could act like the devil with a Bible in your hand. If He is changing you, let Him change your mouth, your heart, and your response—because sooner or later, you’ll get your Joseph moment, and heaven will be watching.
