Preparing Leadership
1 Timothy 4:3-16
“Preparing Leadership” is not about titles, platforms, or looking important in front of people. Paul told Timothy plainly: a real servant of Christ must be rooted in the Word of God, able to refuse false doctrine, profane fables, and man-made religion, and strong enough to teach what God said without bending. God’s creation is received with thanksgiving and sanctified by the Word and prayer—so don’t let somebody bind your soul with lies God never commanded. The Word says what it says. You can wrestle with it, or you can submit to it. This study lays the axe to lazy leadership. If you’re going to lead, you’ve got to live it first. Be an example in word, conduct, charity, faith, purity, and godliness. Don’t hide behind youth, don’t neglect your gift, don’t chase money or praise, and don’t drift from Apostolic doctrine. Take heed to yourself and continue in the truth, because souls are watching—and the devil is after what you carry. This ain’t optional. Leadership in the Kingdom of God demands obedience, responsibility, prayer, Scripture reading, and a life that proves you belong to the Living God.
