Our Savior

Hebrews 2:13-18

“Our Savior” brings us face to face with the Jesus who didn’t stand far off from our suffering—He stepped into flesh and blood, took on the seed of Abraham, suffered temptation, died to break the devil’s power, and rose as our merciful High Priest. God didn’t send an angel to save us. He sent His Son. The Lamb was provided before the foundation of the world, and His blood made reconciliation for sinners who had no peace with God. If that don’t humble you, something is wrong deep down. This study also puts a hard warning on the church: don’t talk about Christ while neglecting His people. The Savior cares for the aged, the poor, the tempted, and the weary—and His church had better do the same. A church that takes offerings but won’t feed the flock has turned the Father’s house into a den of thieves. Trust God while you’ve got breath, repent of that skunk smell called sin, and get born again. Jesus became like us so we could become like Him—and this ain’t optional.
