One Without the Other Pt. 2

Acts 10:23-48

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 39 min

“One Without the Other Pt. 2” drives the nail down hard in Acts 10: you don’t get to take the Holy Ghost and reject baptism in Jesus’ name. Cornelius was a praying man, a giving man, a God-fearing man—but he still needed Peter to preach the Word, and after the Holy Ghost fell, Peter still commanded water baptism. God didn’t stutter. The New Birth is not man’s tradition, not a church handshake, not a name on a roll, and not some watered-down false conversion. It is obedience to what God commanded: repentance, remission of sins, Jesus Name Baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. This study tears into the confusion between religious tradition and Bible salvation. Jew and Gentile, clean and unclean, circumcision and custom—God tore down that middle wall, but He did not tear down His commandments. If you’ve been told you can have one without the other, somebody has lied to you, and I’m not saying that to shame you—I’m saying it because your soul is worth the truth. Read Acts for yourself. Peter had the keys, the Word is plain, and eternity is too serious to gamble on false doctrine.
