Keep the Commandments of God

Proverbs 3:1-12, Jonah 2:8, Romans 10:13-15

Bishop's Tapes· Minister Dawson· 43 min

**Keep the Commandments of God** ain’t a suggestion—it’s a warning with mercy wrapped around it. Proverbs 3 lays it plain: don’t forget God’s law, keep His commandments in your heart, trust Him with all your heart, and stop leaning on your own crooked understanding. Disobedience doesn’t just “happen”—it grows when truth is ignored, correction is despised, and a man gets wise in his own eyes. God didn’t give commandments to hurt you; He gave them to keep you from destruction, preserve your peace, lengthen your days, and lead you in the path of life. This study calls you back to obedience, mercy, truth, the fear of God, and respect for godly correction. If chastening cuts, let it cut—because the Lord corrects the ones He loves. Don’t run from the preacher, don’t run from the Word, and don’t dress up rebellion like maturity. Honor God with what you have, depart from evil, acknowledge Him in your ways, and let Him direct your path. This ain’t about looking religious. This is about salvation, holiness, and whether your heart is really submitted to the God who sees it all.
