Jesus in the Temple

Luke 2:39-50

“Jesus in the Temple” is a straight soul-check from Luke 2:39–50. Even the Lord Jesus grew, worked, learned, waxed strong in spirit, and sat where wisdom was being spoken. At twelve years old, He wasn’t running with foolish company or hiding among kinfolks—He was in the temple, hearing, asking, understanding, and being about His Father’s business. That ought to cut through every excuse we make for laziness, childishness, and spiritual weakness. Young or old, you don’t get to drift through life and call it grace. Grace doesn’t make you careless—it teaches you to grow. This study warns us plain: if folks go looking for you, would they know to find you near the things of God, or would they have to search the world, the relatives, and the wrong crowd? Jesus showed humility, obedience, diligence, and holy focus without rebellion or pride. The Word is calling for spiritual growth, godly company, parental authority, wisdom, and real submission to the Father. I’m not saying this to bruise you—I’m saying it because your soul is too valuable to waste in foolish places when God is calling you to His business.
