Jeremiah 1:1-8

How God Works ain’t a mystery for proud folks to debate—it’s a truth for obedient souls to submit to. In Jeremiah 1, God makes it plain: “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee.” Your genealogy didn’t call you, your excuses won’t excuse you, and fear of man can’t be allowed to muzzle what God commanded. Jeremiah said, “I am a child,” but God didn’t stutter—He said, “Go where I send you, and speak what I command.” That’s divine commission, sanctification, ordination, and sovereignty all standing in one place. This study warns us to stop praying around obedience and start walking in the Word of God. Everybody’s got a word, but only God has the words of eternal life. If you want His provision, His presence, and those windows of heaven opened, then quit double-crossing Him and calling it struggle. The way of the transgressor is hard because rebellion makes it hard. God has already provided, already called, already prepared—but you’ve got to trust Him, obey Him, and stop letting fear, family ties, excuses, and people’s faces keep you from doing what He said.
