You’ve Got to Do Something

Acts 10:1-41

“You’ve Got to Do Something” cuts straight through the easy lie that says salvation requires no response from you. Cornelius was devout, feared God, gave alms, prayed always, and even received an angelic visitation—but he still had to send for Peter and hear the message God commanded. That ought to shake every comfortable soul awake. If a praying, fasting, God-fearing man still had something to obey, don’t let some confused preacher tell you there’s nothing required of you. Acts 10 shows God opening the door to Gentile salvation, making it plain that He is no respecter of persons—but don’t twist that into lawlessness. The same God who sent the angel also sent the preacher. The same Lord who raised Jesus from the dead commanded men to hear and obey the truth. This ain’t about denominations, traditions, or religious pride. This is about the Family of God, the Holy Ghost, baptism, repentance, and obedience to the message. God didn’t stutter. You’ve got to do something.
