His Spirit

Numbers 11:24-29

Bishop's Tapes· Minister Dawson· 34 min

His Spirit is a hard word for folks who think they can bypass God’s order and still claim God’s blessing. In Numbers 11, the Lord didn’t hand every man his own private throne—He took of the spirit He had placed on Moses and put it on the seventy elders so the people could be judged rightly and carried rightly. That’s spiritual authority, whether your flesh likes it or not. God didn’t stutter. The people follow the spirit of the leader, and if that leader is walking crooked, the house will lean crooked too. But when God puts His Spirit on a man who stays the course, the people get a chance to walk straight. This study deals with obedience, unity, prophecy, jealousy, the Holy Ghost, and the danger of running with your own mind instead of submitting to what God has established. Joshua had to learn it wasn’t about protecting Moses’ name—it was about recognizing God’s Spirit at work. And we’ve got to learn the same. Don’t get caught chasing titles, tongues, or religious noise while missing the Spirit that produces righteous judgment, order, holiness, and godly conduct. If His Spirit is truly in you, it ought to show in how you talk, how you follow, how you serve, and how you handle God’s people.
