Heart Trouble

Jeremiah 17:9, Deuteronomy 8:1-3, Acts 5:1-10, Jude 1:5-12

Heart Trouble is not about chest pains—it’s about a crooked, crowded, deceitful heart that can sit in church, sing loud, and still resist God. Jeremiah said the heart is deceitful above all things, and this study puts that truth right on the table. God led Israel through the wilderness to prove what was in them, and He’ll let pressure hit your life for the same reason. You can worship with your mouth and still refuse to serve with your heart. If bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, murmuring, rebellion, or love of money is hiding in there, it will come out. And when it does, don’t dress it up—confess it, clean it out, and get right. Ananias and Sapphira didn’t drop dead because they missed a song service—they lied to the Holy Ghost. Jude warns us about Cain’s way, Balaam’s error, Korah’s rebellion, clouds without water, and souls twice dead. That ain’t small talk; that’s a warning flare. Satan still fills hearts, the tongue still exposes what’s rooted inside, and no man can serve two masters. So guard your heart, remember God, humble yourself, forgive what needs forgiving, and ask like David: “Create in me a clean heart.” The Word says what it says. If it cuts, it’s supposed to. Better to be cut now and healed than to stay hard and miss God.
