Heading to the Jungle

Luke 15:11-27

“Heading to the Jungle” is a plain warning from Luke 15: when a man gets tired of God’s plan and starts demanding his own way, he ain’t headed toward freedom—he’s headed toward the hog pen. The prodigal son didn’t fall overnight; he walked there step by step through self-will, wastefulness, riotous living, debt, and rebellion. God didn’t stutter: “Without Me, you can do nothing.” You can call it independence if you want, but when you leave the Father’s house, don’t act surprised when the far country turns into poverty, famine, skid row, and the hood. But this study doesn’t just rebuke—it calls you home. The Father’s compassion is still greater than your foolishness, but you’ve got to come to yourself. No excuses. No blaming. No arguing with the Bible. Repentance says, “I have sinned,” and restoration starts when you get up and return to God. The robe, the ring, the shoes, the table—they’re waiting. But you can’t bring the hog pen with you. Come home, line up with God’s plan, and live.
