Genesis 9:1-15

God’s Covenant with Noah ain’t just a story about a rainbow after a storm—it’s a holy warning from the God who judges sin and still shows mercy. In Genesis 9, God blesses Noah, establishes His agreement, reminds man of the sanctity of life, and sets His bow in the cloud as a token that the waters will never again destroy all flesh. But don’t get comfortable—judgment is still coming, and next time it won’t be water. The Old Covenant is our schoolmaster, and if we’ve got any sense, we’ll learn from it before fire has to teach us what preaching could have. This study calls us back to humility, obedience, and truth. Noah found grace, but he still had to enter the ark; the animals had to lay down what they were; and every soul today must come through the Door—Jesus Christ—or stand exposed in the Final Judgment. The blood still matters. The tongue still kills. Deception is still working. And the Church had better wake up, stand for justice, remember the price Jesus paid, and stop playing with a God who never stuttered. If that cuts, let it cut deep enough to save you.
