For the Aspiring Minsters

Titus 3:1-15, Acts 15:22-24, 1 Corinthians 11:17-19

“For the Aspiring Ministers” is a straight warning to every man who thinks ministry is just preaching hard and sounding spiritual. Paul told Titus to put the saints in mind—obey civil authority, be ready for every good work, speak evil of no man, be gentle, and don’t live like a brawler with a Bible in his hand. If you can’t govern your tongue, handle people with meekness, submit where God says submit, and remember the mercy that saved your own soul, you’re not ready to shepherd anybody. This ain’t optional. Ministry requires obedience, preparation, sound doctrine, and a heart washed by the Holy Ghost—not pride dressed up in church clothes. This study also puts a firm hand on foolish questions, genealogies, envy, malice, false teaching, and that deadly “he said, she said” spirit that divides churches. Acts 15 and Titus 3 show us plainly: heresy and deception don’t always come from outside the walls—sometimes trouble sits right on the pew. Warn them once, warn them twice, then reject that divisive mess before it poisons the body. God’s church is not a playground for confusion. If that cuts, it’s supposed to. Better to be corrected now than to stand before God having scattered what He called you to guard.
