Following a Visionary Leader

Nehemiah 2:1-8,11,17-18

Following a Visionary Leader ain’t about chasing a man with big talk—it’s about following somebody who has first bowed before God. Nehemiah didn’t run his mouth before the king; he prayed first, then spoke with humility, wisdom, and divine authority. That’s the lesson: if God’s hand ain’t on it, your plans are just noise. But when the Lord has the king’s heart, when favor comes from heaven, walls can be rebuilt, reproach can be removed, and a people sitting in distress can rise up for a good work. This study calls the church to wake up and look at the broken walls—broken homes, broken children, demonic bondage, disobedience, and souls living like they belong in the cemetery instead of God’s city. The answer ain’t pride, politics, or excuses. It’s repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, the Holy Ghost, new birth, and obedience to the God who still sets captives free. If that pricks your heart, good. Let it. Truth cuts before it heals, and God is still saying, “Come now, let us build.”
