Everyday Living

3 John 1:1-5,9-11,13-14

Bishop's Tapes· Minister Dawson· 44 min

“Everyday Living” brings the Bible down out of the clouds and puts it right on your front porch, your job, your conversation, your attitude, and the way you treat both brethren and strangers. John wasn’t writing fairy tales or religious riddles—he was dealing with truth you can see in a man’s walk. Gaius had a good report because he lived the truth, showed love, cared for the whole man, and received the brethren in a godly way. That’s sanctification with shoes on. Not just shouting. Not just talking. Walking. And don’t miss the warning. Diotrephes wanted preeminence, ran his mouth, rejected apostolic authority, and cast out brethren—same spirit still working today. Your testimony is coming back to the church, one way or another. The way you handle people, the way you obey, the way you support the truth, the way you act when nobody from church is watching—it all speaks. God didn’t call us to look holy on Sunday and live crooked on Monday. This is everyday living, and if that cuts, it’s supposed to. Get it right before your sins come walking in behind you.
