Escape Pt. 1

Hebrews 2:1-4, Revelation 9:1-21

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 35 min

“Escape Pt. 1” is not a soft little sermon for comfortable church folks—it is a divine warning. Hebrews 2 asks the question God didn’t whisper: “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?” This study lays it plain: the Word of God is not preacher talk, not opinion, not tradition—it is settled truth. Every transgression and disobedience has a just recompense, and if that makes a man uneasy, good. It ought to. You can let the Word slip, choke it out with the cares of this world, or receive it like good ground—but don’t pretend there won’t be a harvest. Revelation 9 pulls the curtain back on trouble this world is not ready for: the bottomless pit, the locusts, the torment, the woes, the fire and brimstone, the judgment of God that no man can outrun. This ain’t about scaring you for sport—it’s about waking you up before the door shuts like it did in Noah’s day. Repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, the Holy Ghost, holiness, and being born again are not religious decorations; they are God’s lifeline. Neglect salvation if you want to—but the question still stands: how shall you escape?
