Balaam’s Awakening

Numbers 22:1-21,31-35, 23:5-20

Bishop's Tapes· Minister Dawson· 1 hr 3 min

**Balaam’s Awakening** is a hard warning for anybody who thinks hearing God once gives them permission to keep bargaining with Him. God told Balaam plainly: don’t go, don’t curse what I have blessed. But covetousness, worldly honor, and self-will started working on his heart. That’s where the danger lives—not just in what your mouth says, but in what your heart is chasing. The devil knows your gift, your influence, your calling, and he’ll try to turn what God gave you into a weapon against God Himself. Don’t play with that. God didn’t stutter, and He doesn’t need to repeat Himself just because your flesh wants a different answer. This study lays bare the mercy and severity of God: Israel was moving forward under God’s protection, Balak was scheming, Balaam was compromising, and the Angel of the Lord stood in the way before destruction swallowed him up. Sometimes God blocks you because He loves you enough not to let you die in your own stubbornness. If your eyes need opening, let them be opened now. Speak only what God says, bless what God has blessed, and stop trying to reverse what the Almighty has commanded. If that cuts—it’s supposed to.
