An Inconsiderate People

Isaiah 1:2-4, Proverbs 6:6-8

“An Inconsiderate People” is a hard warning from Isaiah 1 and Proverbs 6: God’s own people can become so blind, so forgetful, and so rebellious that even an ox and an ant show more sense than they do. The Bible is a mirror, and if it cuts, it’s because God is showing you yourself. Israel didn’t know, didn’t consider, and didn’t remember the God who raised them up—and that same spirit is still ruining folks today. You don’t know how you’re going to die, when you’re going to die, or whose hands you’ll be in when that hour comes, yet you live careless like judgment ain’t real. That’s not wisdom. That’s slumber. This study calls you to wake up, consider your ways, and stop blaming God for the harvest you never planted. The ant has no overseer, yet she prepares; but God’s people, blessed with His Word, His Spirit, His mercy, and His provision, still walk in poverty, confusion, and bondage because they reject knowledge and obedience. God didn’t bless you so you could forget Him. He didn’t free you so you could crawl back under control. Consider the rain, consider the seedtime, consider the grave, consider the resurrection—and then live like somebody who believes the Lord has spoken.
