Isaiah 30:7-11

A Rebellious People Pt. 1 lays the matter bare from Isaiah 30: God’s people had stopped trusting the Lord and started leaning on Egypt—on systems, flesh, money, politics, and anything but God. And the Lord called it what it was: rebellion. This study warns a hard-headed generation that says to the seers, “See not,” and to the prophets, “Speak smooth things.” But God didn’t raise up preachers to flatter you; He raised them up to wake you up. When people reject the law of the Lord, they don’t produce righteousness—they produce lying children, broken homes, violence, deception, and a church that would rather be entertained than corrected. This ain’t a soft word, but it’s a needed one. The land, the family, the church, the truth—all of it matters to God. You don’t get to push the Holy One of Israel out of sight and expect blessing to remain. If the Word cuts your pride, your sin, your backsliding, or your love for smooth preaching, let it cut. Better to be wounded by truth than comforted all the way to judgment. Turn to God, hear His law, take up the cross, and walk the straight path while mercy is still calling.
