The Commission of the Apostles Pt. 2

Acts 2:1-19,22-38

JMS OG· Elder Dawson· Jul 13, 2025· 1 hr 0 min

Listen up, folks, because this is critical. "The Commission of the Apostles Pt. 2" pushes us to the edge of understanding just what it means to be steered by the Holy Ghost. God didn't just blow a gentle breeze on that day of Pentecost; He sent a rushing, mighty wind that birthed the Church as we know it. This study tells the tale of those disciples like a band of brothers—strong, unified, ready for the impossible. But it raises a solemn warning too: It's not enough to be in the same room—you've got to be on one accord. Any misunderstanding you hold onto strains the unity required for the Spirit to flow. Some folks think they can play church like it’s a game. They’ve made a mockery of God's living Word, diluting the Holy Ghost to just noise and spectacle. But let me be clear: God will not be mocked. True unity and waiting on His Spirit cannot be substituted, and neither can repentance be skipped. Peter preached it straight, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ." You may have heard a soft Gospel, but that’s not the Gospel Christ left for us. If this message pricks your heart, it's doing its job. Your soul’s on the line here. If you're not ready to lay it all down, then you're not really ready for the fire of God. So let this be a call to obedience, repentance, and a doubling down on the truth of God's Word.
