Wisdom and Understanding
Proverbs 16:16-18
**Wisdom and Understanding** ain’t some little church phrase to hang on the wall—it is better than silver and gold, because money can buy things, but it cannot buy the mind of God. This study walks through Proverbs 16:16-18 and lays it plain: when God gives wisdom and understanding, blessing follows, provision follows, doors open—but only for those willing to walk in God’s way, not their own. The highway belongs to the upright, and the upright don’t play with evil; they depart from it. And hear this good: pride will wreck what wisdom built. God can bless, God can provide, God can keep His people—but if you get lifted up, stubborn, divided, or careless with His way, destruction is already standing at the door. This is a warning in love. Keep the way of holiness. Preserve your soul. Don’t trade God’s wisdom for gold, comfort, or your own foolish thinking. The Word says what it says—submit to it, and live.
