The Unity of the Faith

Ephesians 4:11-32

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 1 hr 8 min

The Unity of the Faith ain’t about everybody doing their own thing and calling it church. Ephesians 4 shows God’s order: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers working together for the perfecting of the saints, the work of the ministry, and the edifying of the Body of Christ. You don’t get unity by leaving apostolic doctrine, chasing every wind of doctrine, or acting like nobody can tell you anything. God is building one body, one unit, one people walking in one accord—and if you step outside that, don’t be surprised when the enemy comes hunting. This study calls the saints to grow up. Put off the old man. Stop the lies, bitterness, wrath, malice, stealing, selfishness, and corrupt communication. Speak the truth in love—not to wound, but to save. Don’t let anger open a door for the devil, and don’t grieve the Holy Spirit with grudges and grievance. This is about true holiness, spiritual maturity, forgiveness, kindness, and a renewed mind. If it cuts, it’s supposed to. God is not raising spoiled children—He’s raising a perfected body fitly joined together for His glory.
