The Real Ghost

Acts 19:1-8

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 39 min

**The Real Ghost** ain’t about haunted houses and foolish talk—it’s about the Holy Ghost, the one you’d better have before death knocks and judgment opens the books. In Acts 19, Paul found disciples—believers, mind you—and still asked them straight: “Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?” That question cuts through all the soft preaching and church games. Belief without obedience, baptism without the Name, religion without the Spirit—that won’t carry you through fire, trial, or eternity. This study lays it plain: repent, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, receive the Holy Ghost, and then get to work in the vineyard. Paul didn’t pat them on the back and leave them half-done; he examined them, preached truth, and they were baptized right. God didn’t stutter, and the apostles didn’t preach confusion. If you’ve been playing church, fighting the Name, or leaning on “I’m already a believer,” wake up. Hell is hot, death is real, and the train came to pass—not to stay. This warning is love with work clothes on.
