The Leader’s Job

Joshua 1:1-11

“The Leader’s Job” ain’t about titles, applause, or a preacher looking out for himself. In Joshua 1:1-11, God puts the mantle on Joshua after Moses is dead and makes one thing plain: if you’re going to lead God’s people, you better know the Book, speak the Book, meditate in the Book, and obey the Book. Deliverance doesn’t come through talent, money, popularity, or some man’s big name—it comes through God’s Word and God’s presence. The leader’s burden is to help bring the people out of captivity and into what God promised, not to build his own little kingdom. This study is a straight warning to every leader, preacher, steward, and saint: you don’t get to add to God’s Word, subtract from it, or lead by your own feelings. Be strong and courageous, because opposition will come—Pharaohs, critics, wolves, and discouragement don’t retire. But God didn’t stutter: “I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” If you want good success, not worldly noise but holy fruit, stay faithful, stay obedient, stay with God’s people, and keep your feet moving toward the Promised Land.
