“The Full Story” pulls back the curtain on Abner—not just how he died, but what he was trying to do before Joab’s revenge cut him down. This study walks through division in Israel, the danger of fighting against God’s anointed, and the holy work of bringing scattered people back together. Abner had been on the wrong side, but when his eyes opened, he moved toward David and toward restoration. That’s a word for anybody who’s been whipped by the world, tangled in bitterness, or stuck defending the wrong thing: when you realize you’re beat, don’t keep swinging—come back to God. But hear this plain: when God gets you back into the city of refuge, don’t let the devil pull you outside the gate. Joab’s deception, revenge, and hardness of heart show what happens when men break rank, reject peace, and take judgment into their own hands. This ain’t just history—it’s a warning. Fight to bring the church together, not tear it apart. Lay down bitterness. Honor spiritual authority. Seek peace while there’s still mercy. Because if you step out of safety after God brought you in, you may know the full story too late.
