The Backsliders
Romans 1:21-25, Isaiah 28:13-15, John 3:1-5
“The Backsliders” is a hard warning to anybody who once knew God but started trading truth for lies. Romans 1 doesn’t play games: when a man refuses to glorify God, his heart gets dark, his mind gets foolish, and soon he’s worshiping the creature more than the Creator. This study calls out backsliding, false preachers, dead religion, lust, idolatry, and every refuge built on lies. If that cuts—it’s supposed to. The Word says what it says, and you don’t get to twist it just because your flesh wants room to breathe. This message presses the question Nicodemus had to face in John 3: have you truly been born again of water and Spirit, or have you been handed a false salvation with a handshake and a church roll? God didn’t stutter. There is judgment coming, hell is real, and hiding behind religion won’t save you. But this warning is mercy. Come back to truth. Repent. Obey. Be baptized in Jesus’ name, receive the Holy Ghost, and stop making a covenant with death when Christ is calling you into the Kingdom of God.
