The Ark Pt. 1

Titus 1:4-5, Matthew 24:34-40

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 42 min

“The Ark Pt. 1” is a straight warning from Matthew 24: as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Folks were eating, drinking, marrying, prospering, and laughing right up until the flood took them away. Don’t miss the point—God gave Noah a pattern, and Noah didn’t get to redesign it. Gopher wood meant gopher wood. Length, width, height—God set it all. And the church is no different. God’s pattern is not up for man’s revision, opinion, or private interpretation. Salvation starts where the first church started—in Acts—with baptism in Jesus’ name and the Holy Ghost. You can argue with the preacher if you want, but the Word won’t move. This study calls you to wake up before the door shuts. The hour is unknown, heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s Word will stand. The ark typifies the church, and the question is not whether you admire it from the outside—it’s whether you’re in it according to God’s order. The flood came once, judgment is coming again, and when the Lord takes His church, somebody will be left standing in the field wondering what happened. I’m not saying this to scare you for sport. I’m saying it because your soul is headed for eternity, and there are only two places to spend it. Be watchful. Be obedient. Get in God’s way while the door is still open.
