The Acts

Acts 1:1-8

“The Acts” brings us back to the beginning—not to argue opinions, not to defend denominations, but to see how the church was ordered when God set it in motion. Luke lays it straight: Jesus didn’t just teach; He did what He taught. That alone rebukes a whole lot of religion. The apostles weren’t guessing, and they weren’t inventing doctrine—they were chosen, commanded, and shown infallible proofs of the risen Christ. If we’re going to be the church, we don’t get to make up our own act. We’ve got to line up with The Acts. This study presses hard on the promise of the Father—the Holy Ghost, the power from on high, the Director no longer standing outside saying “cut,” but living inside the believer and leading from within. John baptized with water, but Jesus pointed to Holy Ghost baptism, to power, to witnessing from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. This ain’t optional, and it ain’t religious decoration. Without the Spirit, there is no power. Without obedience, there is no order. God didn’t stutter—wait on His promise, receive His power, and walk like people who belong to the Kingdom of God.
