Riding out the Storm Pt. 1

Matthew 7:24-27, Job 1:7-21

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 42 min

**Riding out the Storm Pt. 1** is a warning and a strengthening for every soul that thinks trouble won’t come knocking. Jesus said the house that stands is the one built on the Rock—not sand, not religion, not convenience, not church talk without obedience. The rain will fall, the floods will rise, and the winds will beat; the storm is not asking your permission. If you hear the sayings of Jesus and don’t do them, God didn’t call that misunderstood—He called it foolish. This study takes you from Matthew 7 to Job’s suffering and shows plainly that the devil is real, the battle is old, and the storm is designed to test what your foundation is made of. Job lost everything and still worshiped, because God had equipped him to ride it out. That’s the lesson: quit running from the storm and learn to stand in faithfulness, fear God, shun evil, put on your spiritual armor, and obey the Word. I’m not saying this to scare you for sport—I’m saying it because the storm is coming, and only those anchored in Christ will still be standing when it passes.
