Obedience

Philippians 2:12-18, 3:12-14

Obedience ain’t a church face you put on when somebody’s watching. This study puts Philippians 2 right in your lap and asks the hard question: who are you in God’s presence when man is absent? The Word says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling—not with murmuring, disputing, pride, excuses, or hypocrisy. If God is working in you, He’s working a will to obey, to labor, to shine as a son of God in the middle of a crooked generation. And if you’re grumbling while you do it, don’t fool yourself—we know who’s working that spirit. This is a call to stop playing with disobedience and start pressing toward the prize. Forget what’s behind you, quit living in yesterday’s failures or yesterday’s victories, and run this spiritual race like your soul is on the line—because it is. God didn’t call you to be dim, lazy, bitter, or double-minded. He called you to be blameless, harmless, holding forth the Word of Life. If that cuts, let it cut. Better to be wounded by truth now than found wanting in the Day of Christ.
