Love Thy Neighbor Pt. 2 puts a hard question right in your lap: do you really love, or do you just know the words? In Luke 10, that lawyer knew the law, but knowing ain’t doing. Jesus didn’t ask for a sermon, a song, or a shout—He said, “Go and do.” This study tears the cover off religious hypocrisy, false shepherds, and church folks who can see a wounded man in the ditch and still pass by clean-handed. God didn’t call His people to admire compassion from a distance. He called us to bind wounds, pour in oil, spend our own substance, and stop the bleeding so healing can begin. This ain’t about neighborly talk with no power behind it. Your neighbor is the one bleeding in front of you—the one you’d rather question, judge, avoid, or leave to die. If that cuts, it’s supposed to. Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself; that means obedience, forgiveness, generosity, reconciliation, and no partiality. The Word says what it says. You can justify yourself like the lawyer, or you can get down in the ditch like the Samaritan. But don’t call it love if there’s no substance in it.
