Having the Eyes

Acts 28:24-27, Isaiah 42:5-9,17-23

Bishop's Tapes· Bishop Edwards· 37 min

“Having the Eyes” is a hard warning from Acts 28 and Isaiah 42: you can have natural eyes and still be blind as midnight, have ears and still not hear what the Holy Ghost is saying. This study cuts straight at unbelief, hardened hearts, spiritual darkness, and religious confusion. Paul said some believed and some believed not—and friend, you’re standing in one of those two crowds. God didn’t send His Word for you to admire it; He sent it to convert you, heal you, and bring you out of the prison house of sin. This ain’t about defending denominations, traditions, or what some blind guide told you. The Word says what it says: be born again, obey the Gospel, receive the Holy Ghost, and don’t be ashamed of holiness. If you fight truth because it crosses your church teaching, your pride, or your comfort, you’re not fighting the preacher—you’re fighting God. And I’m not saying that to hurt you. I’m saying it because one day you’ll walk through the valley by yourself, and you’d better have more than religion in your hand.
