God Taking You in to Bring You Out
Joshua 24:1-14
God Taking You in to Bring You Out is a hard reminder that God’s ways are not ours, and He does not need our permission to lead us through Egypt before He brings us into promise. Joshua 24 lays the history bare: Abraham was called out, Jacob went down, Israel suffered in bondage, Pharaoh chased, the Red Sea stood in the way—but God delivered. Not by their sword, not by their bow, but by His own hand. If God takes you into trouble, He knows how to bring you out with a testimony, a lesson, and a fear of the Lord that comfort could never teach you. This study calls God’s people to stop grumbling, stop leaning on flesh, stop flirting with other gods, and serve the Lord in sincerity and truth. The same God who put light between Israel and Egypt still knows how to protect His church, provide through the land, and bring victory over enemies we can’t handle. But don’t miss the warning: if you walk the path of rebellion, you’ll reap the end of rebellion. God gave us history so we wouldn’t act ignorant in the present. Trust Him, obey Him, and quit arguing with the One who already made the way.
